Ontario's regulated online gaming market opened on April 4, 2022. iGaming Ontario, known as iGO, conducts and manages online gaming through private operators. The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, the AGCO, is the regulator. A private operator needs two things to be legal: AGCO registration and an operating agreement with iGO. OLG.ca is the government's own site.

Play is for people 19 and over who are physically in Ontario. The same age line holds on land: no one under 19 may enter or stay in a casino, under section 2(3) of the Gaming Control Act, 1992.
